The house also needs a roof vent for the potbelly stove in the livingroom. Bubba is going to do some"picking" at some of the local farms and try to scrounge one up for a jug of Shine. If one can't be found, he'll will slap one together out of old well tubing, some junk tin, and solder.
The cement mortar, lumber, nails, corrugated siding, new bonnet for Gramma, some shotgun ammo, and replacement vacuum tubes for Gramps radio is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
The radio is really putting out a high pitched teeth-grinding squeal and skeeching noise!
And a hearty, "Welcome, Sir!" to James Brewerton.

I love the tar paper roof! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, ep! Thanks. So do the Meyers!
Deletevery nice :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Erhan.
DeleteReally like the idea of the bot belly. Great in the winter!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Rodger. A "bot belly"...huh. Are you messing around with my feeble mind? Because it's started to wake up with that term. So, lets see...could it be a potbelly stove transformer (a UFO camouflaged in cast-iron), or maybe a steam-punk sidekick of Gramps, which he uncovered, repaired, and revitalized, while in Europe during the Big-One. "Clinker" also serves faithfully as the heat source to the cabin, or...(somebody please help me!!)
DeleteThanks for the stimulation!
Another fine addition to the Meyer's corner of the corner!
ReplyDeleteHi, Jacker! Ah, a poet and he knows it!
DeleteFantastic building Jay, great work!
ReplyDeletePhil.
Howdy, Phil! You know for 15mm workers, these jack-of-all-trades certainly know how to haul, chop, saw, slice, nail, measure, glue, mix and form "mud" steps, and seal and paint everything that isn't moving [including the grass, weeds, and asphalt]. I'll have to send them home early today for their fine work, with a little Joy-Juice in a jug to keep them safe and warm on their journey. Guarantee you they'll be back tomorrow!
DeleteI wish them a good night then, and the same to you!
DeleteBest,
Phil.
They and I shall sleep like a bump on a log.
DeleteThat's a really nice house you made them! I hope the Meyers will like it!

Hello, Peter! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteActually the cabin/house is a HO Scale model I picked-up used at a MRR [Model Railroad] store. The Meyers are putting it up on a foundation of big stones; building a covered deck for a front porch; building a small garage for Gramps motor vehicles; and adding some steps for entering and exiting the back of the house.
It's on this front porch while imbibing large quantities of corn-liquor that the Meyers and passerbyers have had many serious discussions and shoutings, as to whether or not there are UFOs.
